Scott + Albina | Cypress Grove Estate House

So this is Beans.

Ok, Ok, her real name is Albina, but Beans is way more fun to say and better depicts her amazing sense of humor. I’ve known this spicy little Russian for about 10 years or so, and her wedding was probably one of the best days we’ve ever spent together. Seeing someone you know and love marry someone who knows and loves her as much as Scott does, gives a friend reassurance that she’s in really good hands.

I was reading a Reddit thread recently where someone asked wedding photographers and videographers what the red flags or green flags were during a wedding for them. Over the years what signs did they see during the day of a wedding that usually give good insight as to whether this will work out for the long haul or not. I was very surprised to read that so many of them mention the cake cutting! People said when the couple is in sync about this tiny little detail, it may seem so insignificant but it can surprisingly give a good indication as to the closeness the couple shares, and their ability to agree, or have fun even when they disagree. I immediately thought about Scott and Albina’s wedding and was reminded about how much fun they had laughing away during their cake cutting moment. Who knows if this “test of love” is accurate, but it made me smile for them all the same!

This reception was probably one of the most fun and lively receptions I’ve ever been a part of. You’ll notice a woman in a blue dress having the time of her life in so many of the reception images below. This is Beans’s mom. I’ll be honest, I had no idea she was such a blast and I’m only sad we never had any dance parties at the Oboimova household before. It’s a rare occasion that I jump out on the dance floor (although I’m always dying to) but I just couldn’t help myself with this one. I need to take some dance lessons so I don’t embarrass myself, but sometimes the party is just too good.

Scott and Albina, I am so happy for you both and pray for endless amounts of laughter and joy in the years ahead. Enjoy some of my favorites from your day below! #BakedBeans (PS, literally the best wedding hashtag I’ve ever seen!!)

And as always, a special shout out to all these amazing vendors!
