This portrait session was originally supposed to have a couple more family members. Now, I'm all for a good family shoot for the holidays but I have to be honest. When it just ended up being mom and the baby girls, it was so precious. And there were moments so sweet that wouldn't have happened otherwise. Sure there were times where taking pictures was secondary to what the girls would rather be doing, but when mom had a moment with one of them to just look into her eyes and let her know that she's loved with an everlasting love, it reminds you what is so special and incredibly important about being a mother. Now, I don't have children yet. So when I see how much these little cupcakes loved their mom, it made me so excited to have that myself some day. As selfish as it sounds, to have kids that love you so much they compete for your attention just seems like the such an indicator that you're doing something right. Everyone wants a turn to be one on one with mom and that's got to be an overwhelming feeling! I'm thinking "Mommy and Me" sessions may be happening in 2017. This was one of my favorites to date.
Devin, Hollstyn, and Brynna, it was so much fun hanging out with the three of you!
Enjoy some of my favorites from the session.
