As a photographer in Florida I'll be honest, we can easily get a little burnt out on shooting at the beach. I get it... The sunsets are gorgeous and the serenity of the soft gulf waves splashing against the shore just makes for a good time. But, it lacks a little variety. Beercan Island though! This place just has so much character with all the driftwood and beautiful mangroves. There are a ton of different things you can do on this beach to not feel like every photo is the same, so for these reasons I'm all aboard the wagon to "Team Beercan"!
Laura and Chad contacted me a few months ago and wanted to go with something a little different for their engagement session, since their wedding will be a little more country. I love that idea! Having such a distinct difference between the two will make it easier to hang more photos all around your home! (hint, hint). There's something about an open-back dress that just screams "romance" to me. I absolutely encourage them for everything!! The wedding, the engagements, anniversary sessions, whatever. We're in Florida so no matter what time of year it is, you've got a good chance the weather will allow you to show a little skin, wear something moody and prepare to kiss a zillion times on command!
