If I could dream up the perfect wedding for Angela, I would probably end up recreating this glamorous barn wedding all over again. Even down to the chandelier! I have to tell you that this girl was the most adorable bride to be. The type of fiancee that you see in movies with a huge wedding binder, complete with fabric samples, color swatches and hand written notes on everything. Every detail needed to be exactly as she envisioned, because she understood the importance of this day. The kind of day that she wants only once in her lifetime.
But while planning the wedding of her dreams was very important to her, that didn't take away from the end prize... the gold medal of the day which was becoming Jeff's wife. These two were the subjects of my very first engagement session, and I had no idea how lucky I was for that at the time! I didn't know if I really wanted to dive into weddings back then, because let's be honest they're incredibly intimidating! Knowing that there is ONE chance to capture the single most important moments of these people's lives as a couple and that weight would fall on my shoulders? I wasn't ready for that yet. She (being the sweetest customer in the whole world) said she HAD to hire me for something because she was so pleased with our first session, so she opted to have me photograph the girls getting ready before the wedding on the big day. Ok, I could handle that! Short story long, I made the plunge into photographing weddings, her photographer unexpectedly had to move, the baton was passed to me and I was chosen to document their dream wedding. The sun didn't shine, the Florida heat decided to take a vacation, and the ceremony started late, but I'll tell you what... It was absolutely perfect.
Jeff and Angela, thank you for truly being my most loyal customers. As I've told you before, I feel that I've made friends out of you and I am thankful for it. Please take a moment to enjoy these moments from that beautiful day.
