Lindsey + Alan | Engagements and Horses

Sooooo.... What do you do when your plot to propose doesn't exactly go as planned? You improvise. Realizing that this wouldn't be the love of your life without all the little quirks that make them unique! Alan didn't lose his cool when Lindsey wasn't up for the plans he had set in motion for their special evening, so he decided to propose around breakfast one morning. He brought in gift after gift and finally ended with the ring <3 GAHHH what a way to start the day! Lindsey laughed, knowing that this was plan B, but that made the moment all the more authentic and perfect for them.

We decided to make use of my girl Christina's farm for this engagement session. The sun, when it sets just right along the dirt road, makes for some of the most stunning views you'd ever imagine. It reminds me of home in Ohio, although we're right here in Florida. The horses were apparently hungry because they followed us around the entire evening looking for treats. We didn't mind, of course. No horse ever made a photo look worse, that's for sure.

This time of year is overwhelmingly busy. With family in town for the holidays, and Christmas parties and baking and work and shopping, I think we all just need a reason to take a moment to sit and look at the beauty that life brings. I absolutely adore engagement sessions, and every one of them is so sweet in its own way. Let's all just have a moment with these, shall we? ;)

And a special thanks to Tanya Teixiera for making Lindsey look and feel beautiful for these!
